About Merciv
Merciv is an AI-powered consumer intelligence platform catering to top enterprise brands globally. Officially launched from stealth mode in early 2026, Merciv collaborates with some of the largest consumer-focused companies. The organization is establishing a high-caliber design and marketing department, with brand development being fundamental to market perception.
Role Overview
We seek a Brand Designer responsible for daily brand expression across various mediums such as sales presentations, marketing materials, social media, websites, and campaigns. Reporting directly to the Head of Brand, this role demands transforming strategic direction into polished, consistent, and on-brand outputs with startup agility. This position offers high ownership and the opportunity to have your work featured wherever the company presents itself.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the production of designs including sales decks, one-pagers, marketing, and event collateral.
- Create on-brand social media content optimized for performance across platforms.
- Develop and maintain the brand system elements such as typography, color schemes, layouts, and motion graphics to ensure cohesive brand delivery.
- Design and update web and landing pages, executing projects from initial concept to deployment.
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors to support branded content and campaign initiatives including product launches, videos, merchandise, and apparel collaborations.
- Work closely with Go-To-Market (GTM), sales, and product teams to integrate brand identity within communications and sales strategies.
- Adapt quickly to creative direction and iterate designs at pace while maintaining high quality standards.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in brand or visual design, preferably in-house within a technology company or startup environment; agency experience is beneficial if coupled with ownership mentality.
- An impressive portfolio demonstrating strong typography, visual judgment, and aesthetic sensibility.
- Proficient in building sustainable, adaptable brand systems rather than isolated design pieces.
- Versatile across identity design, layouts, content design attentive to brand voice, and digital mediums; fluent in working with decks, social media, and web formats.
- Capable of both strategic thinking and meticulous execution; able to accept creative direction, justify design decisions, and deliver efficiently.
- Thrives in dynamic, high-responsibility settings with rapidly changing priorities.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools to enhance productivity and overcome creative blocks.
Additional Preferences
- Experience with B2B/enterprise or consumer technology brand design.
- Competence in web design workflows from Figma prototypes to live implementations.
- Skills in motion graphics and animation.
- Experience in managing external creative contributors such as video producers, illustrators, and printers.
Working Environment
- Direct collaboration with the Head of Brand who provides creative direction, while the designer owns execution and system development.
- Onsite work from the SoHo, New York City office with frequent collaboration with brand, GTM, and product teams.
- Daily workflow supported by tools including Figma, Notion, and contemporary AI software.
Hiring Process
The selection process involves an introductory call, a thorough 60-minute portfolio review, a live craft exercise based on a hypothetical scenario, followed by conversations with the team, founders, and reference verifications. The entire process is designed to be efficient and respectful of the candidate's time, typically concluding in about two weeks.
Compensation and Diversity
The salary range offered is between $100,000 and $110,000 annually. Merciv values diversity and inclusion and operates as an equal opportunity employer, prohibiting discrimination on multiple legally protected bases including race, religion, gender, and disability status.
