Billing Analytics and Reconciliation Specialist

About the Role

We are on the lookout for an adept Billing Analytics and Reconciliation Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management team at King's College Hospital London in Dubai. This position suits a finance professional with a robust analytical mindset, possessing experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, billing reconciliation, and financial controls, specifically within a hospital environment in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews and validations of discounts applied.
• Investigate and resolve unclear deposits to maintain financial clarity.
• Perform reconciliation and monitoring of refunds to ensure accuracy.
• Verify and reconcile dropped orders that were not charged, comparing systems like Cerner and RHES.
• Follow up on payments and outstanding balances effectively.
• Coordinate and manage follow-ups related to legal cases affecting collections.
• Prepare monthly departmental reports, create dashboards, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Identify billing exceptions and potential risks of revenue loss, conducting detailed investigations.
• Develop and continually improve control frameworks and exception-based Management Information Systems (MIS) reporting.
• Collaborate closely with finance, operations, billing, and clinical teams to resolve discrepancies and enhance processes.
• Support initiatives for revenue assurance by performing detailed data analysis and reconciliation work.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in Revenue Cycle Management, Billing Operations, Finance Operations, or Reconciliation.
• Previous work experience within a UAE hospital or healthcare setting is mandatory.
• Comprehensive understanding of hospital billing workflows, charge capture processes, and revenue cycles.
• Proven experience with interface reconciliations and monitoring of charge captures.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including proficiency with Power Query, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP functions, error handling, and data validation methods.
• Competency in Power BI or equivalent business intelligence software for data visualization.
• Strong analytical thinking coupled with structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience in designing and applying financial control frameworks effectively.
• Ability to develop comprehensive management information reports and present insightful KPI dashboards.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities tailored to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a firm commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
