Position Overview
The Behavior Specialist role entails providing behavior analysis services and designing behavior management plans specifically tailored for special education students within the school's educational setting.
Minimum Qualifications and Licensing Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Eligibility for a teaching license granted by the Nevada Department of Education.
- Possession or ability to obtain a Nevada teaching license with endorsement relevant to the subject area.
- Alternatively, must hold or qualify for Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), with licensure in Nevada.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary ranges from $51,049 to $97,806 annually, depending on experience and education.
- Position is scheduled for 182 days per year with an additional 25 paid days; extra days compensated at full daily rate in addition to base salary.
- Additional SB500 funds to be applied for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Benefits package includes contributions to Nevada PERS retirement, health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, as well as sick leave and personal leave.
- There is no state income tax in Nevada.
