Role Overview

This full-time position seeks a Backend Developer who excels at building intuitive, reliable, and high-performing web backend systems. The role involves close collaboration with product managers, frontend developers, and quality assurance teams to design scalable APIs and enhance the platform's core capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain backend services including APIs and microservices.
• Integrate and manage third-party APIs with a focus on financial and payment systems.
• Work cross-functionally to define and implement new feature sets.
• Improve backend processes to ensure performance, scalability, and robustness.
• Produce clean, well-documented, and test-covered code.
• Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve live production issues.
• Ensure that backend architecture complies with security standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java.
• Experience working with RESTful API design, SQL and NoSQL database systems, and ORM tooling.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms.
• Hands-on familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows, version control systems, and container technologies.
• Understanding of security concepts including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Strong analytical thinking combined with a collaborative team-oriented mindset.

Preferred but Not Required

• Prior experience implementing payment gateway integrations or financial service APIs.
• Exposure to Kubernetes or serverless computing frameworks.
• Aware of application internationalization and localization challenges.
• Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese to better relate to client contexts.
