Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned aviation expert to coach students striving to start or progress careers in aviation. This position entails helping learners sharpen their expertise in pilot training, aircraft maintenance, air traffic control, and aviation technology. Additionally, the coach will assist students in understanding aviation regulations, licensing and certification processes, and flight safety standards. Support also extends to subjects like commercial aviation, airline operations including crew management, and route planning to foster comprehensive industry knowledge.
Further responsibilities include aiding with skill development, refining resumes and cover letters, reviewing LinkedIn profiles, strategizing networking approaches, preparing for interviews, and advising on salary negotiation and freelance opportunities for independent practitioners. Ideal candidates will possess extensive professional experience in aviation sectors such as commercial airlines, military, or general aviation, have prior mentoring or teaching backgrounds, and be capable of delivering structured, clear guidance to facilitate student growth and career advancement. Coaches independently manage schedules and fees, conduct online sessions, and collaborate with Leland’s team to provide a nurturing, high-standard experience.
