Job Overview
This role involves designing and producing documentation for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Traffic Control Systems (TCS) utilized in extensive infrastructure developments. The chosen candidate will be responsible for creating detailed shop drawings, system layouts, and comprehensive technical documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop shop drawings for ITS/TCS components including traffic signals, CCTV, and Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) systems.
- Design traffic signal poles along with supporting structural elements.
- Generate standard installation details for various system parts.
- Plan and document cable core allocations and splice configurations.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering teams and external consultants.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and define material specifications.
- Ensure designs and documentation comply fully with RCRC Standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Communication Engineering or Communication and Information Technology.
- Have over 5 years of experience in infrastructure or transportation projects.
- Minimum 3 years of proven expertise in CAD drafting for ITS/TCS systems.
- Hold a mandatory AutoCAD Certification.
- Demonstrated experience working with traffic signal systems and producing technical documentation.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- Knowledge of cable system design and coordination.
- Understanding of ITS and TCS systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
System Expertise
Experience with a range of systems such as Variable Message Signs (VMS), Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), Lane Control Systems (LCS), CCTV, ALPR, Radar Detectors, Automated Incident Detection (AID), Ramp Metering, Over Height Vehicle Detection (OHVD), Video Detection, and structured cabling is expected.
