We are partnering with a prominent multidisciplinary consultancy based in London that is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join their expanding team. This opportunity suits professionals with expertise in the remediation, refurbishment, strengthening, and upgrading of existing buildings rather than new construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide structural engineering solutions focused on existing medium to high-rise buildings.
  • Conduct structural assessments, feasibility analyses, and defect investigations.
  • Work collaboratively with architects, surveyors, and clients to formulate practical approaches.
  • Prepare technical reports and recommend remedial or strengthening interventions.
  • Perform site inspections to supervise works ensuring health, safety, and compliance standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess over five years of post-qualification experience applying structural engineering principles to existing structures.
  • Hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Be a Chartered Engineer recognized by IStructE or ICE.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Tekla, TEDDS, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of UK Building Regulations, Eurocodes, CDM, and British Standards Association guidelines.
  • Exhibit the ability to diagnose structural defects and design effective, pragmatic solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary up to £80,000, dependent on experience.
