Role Overview
The Associate, Data Analytics role is responsible for leading data initiatives, producing actionable insights, and supporting business decisions through analysis, reporting, and data solutions. The role works closely with stakeholders, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to turn business needs into measurable analytics outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own data initiatives from planning through delivery and share findings with senior stakeholders and management.
- Work with business partners, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to define objectives and clarify analytical requirements.
- Analyze data deeply to uncover trends, insights, and business opportunities, then present them in a clear and practical way.
- Build and execute SQL queries to support reporting, insight generation, and ad hoc analysis.
- Create and support data pipelines and workflows that can handle large datasets efficiently.
- Design visual dashboards and charts that make complex information easier to understand for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Apply data modeling principles and contribute to enterprise model design and development.
- Record methods, processes, and results thoroughly to support knowledge transfer and maintain reliable documentation.
- Perform exploratory analysis and use statistical methods to identify patterns, relationships, and trends in large datasets.
- Support campaign execution from audience sizing and lead extraction to post-campaign performance review.
- Assist in experiment design to test assumptions and evaluate model outcomes.
- Spot and resolve data quality issues or missing data that could affect analysis.
Requirements
- Between 1 and 5 years of experience in data analytics or a closely related discipline.
- Strong SQL skills are required.
- Python knowledge is preferred.
- Comfort with Microsoft Excel and data visualization platforms, ideally Qlik.
- Background in life insurance is an advantage.
- Experience with GenAI tools or AI agents for coding or analysis is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analysis in a simple, actionable way.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or another quantitative field.
