Role Overview
We are collaborating with a prominent financial institution to recruit an Associate within their Corporate Development & Strategy team. This position offers a unique chance to be part of a highly effective internal group responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of mergers & acquisitions (M&A), divestments, and strategic investments, interacting closely with senior leaders across the organization.
Key Duties
- Lead and assist in comprehensive M&A and divestment initiatives, encompassing financial assessment, due diligence, and transaction execution.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to appraise deals, including integrated three-statement models, discounted cash flow (DCF) valuations, as well as accretion/dilution and return analyses.
- Perform strategic and commercial evaluations to guide investment choices.
- Collaborate extensively with senior figures in finance, strategic planning, and business units.
- Draft investment documentation and presentations for executive and board decision-making forums.
- Analyze market trends, partnership opportunities, and avenues for inorganic growth.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in investment banking (focusing on M&A, coverage, or leveraged finance), Big 4 transaction services or deals advisory, or corporate development roles within large organizations.
- Proven track record working on active transactions and constructing comprehensive financial models.
- Demonstrate advanced expertise in financial modeling, valuation methods such as DCF, comparable company analyses, transaction comps, and thorough understanding of M&A mechanics and deal structuring.
- Capability to independently build financial models from their foundational components.
- Exhibit sound commercial judgment and strong analytical skills.
- Comfortable communicating confidently with senior stakeholders and working autonomously with high accountability.
- Detail-focused, proactive, and intellectually inquisitive.
