Artist Development Manager

About the Role

Arturo Palomba Gallery LLC in Dubai is looking for a seasoned Artist Development Manager to discover, mentor, and elevate both emerging and established contemporary artists. The goal is to support them in gaining international exhibition opportunities, gallery representation, and fostering sustained career advancement.

As a key collaborator working directly with the Founder & CEO, this role involves identifying artistic talent, nurturing strategic partnerships, and broadening the Gallery's global artist network.

Key Responsibilities

• Discover and assess promising emerging and established artists.
• Maintain and cultivate long-term connections with artists and their agents.
• Review artistic portfolios and analyze their exhibition potential.
• Manage the onboarding process and gallery representation of artists.
• Facilitate career growth plans and enhance international prominence of artists.
• Coordinate with curatorial and exhibition teams to align objectives.
• Attend important art fairs, exhibitions, and studio visits to scout talent.
• Keep abreast of international trends in contemporary art.
• Develop comprehensive reports and strategic advice on artist development.
• Collaborate closely with the Founder & CEO on initiatives to grow artists' careers.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Arts Management, Business, or a related field is required.
• Prior experience within galleries, artist management, museums, cultural institutions, or creative sectors.
• Proven expertise in networking and building professional relationships.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Deep enthusiasm for contemporary art and nurturing artist talents.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; additional language skills are advantageous.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as part of the role.
