Area Collection Manager - Nagpur

Job Overview

We are seeking an Area Collection Manager based in Nagpur to lead and manage the collections operations within the region, ensuring financial targets and recoveries are met effectively.

Primary Responsibilities

• Attain collection targets and achieve financial objectives for the designated area.
• Supervise delinquency rates and actively reduce credit losses within the portfolio.
• Enhance resolution rates on overdue accounts.
• Manage appropriate staffing levels across locations, debt buckets, and segments.
• Minimize charge-off amounts and improve recoveries from written-off accounts.
• Review and control costs associated with collections activities.
• Conduct daily monitoring and periodic review of delinquent accounts to ensure timely actions.
• Monitor customer accounts to identify and flag potential defaults or late payments.
• Collaborate with non-performing borrowers to devise optimal recovery plans.
• Develop and maintain MIS reports highlighting portfolio trends to guide collection strategies and improvements.
• Provide regular updates to management and cross-functional teams including Sales, Risk, and Policy on collection progress, delinquency patterns, fraud cases, and other critical insights.
• Coordinate with external agencies for collection efforts, ensuring effective vendor management including selection, performance monitoring, and timely debt recovery.
• Ensure all collection documentation complies with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Handle customer complaints with focus on satisfactory resolutions aligning with company and customer interests.
• Plan and execute audits of collections teams to maintain adherence to organizational policies and regulations.
• Manage escalated cases in liaison with legal and senior management to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead, coach, and mentor the collections team.
• Facilitate regular training on functional skills and behavioral aspects in partnership with HR.
• Engage in talent management initiatives to develop a robust team pipeline and maintain high employee engagement.
