Application Developer

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer with a solid background in application development, emphasizing advanced Java programming and scripting skills. This position is based in Singapore and requires hands-on experience in modern technologies relevant to data streaming and monitoring platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex applications with a focus beyond support activities.
• Implement and maintain solutions utilizing Java and scripting languages.
• Integrate and manage messaging and logging platforms including Kafka and ELK stack.
• Work with WebSocket, SFTP protocols, and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines effectively.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience in application development with strong coding and design capabilities.
• Proficient in advanced Java development concepts and practices.
• Demonstrated expertise with Grafana for monitoring and visualization.
• Experience with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for data aggregation and analysis.
• Familiarity with message queuing systems such as MQ and Kafka for data streaming.
• Hands-on scripting skills in Python, Bash (Shell scripting), or Java to automate and enhance application processes.
• Understanding of WebSocket and SFTP protocols and their implementation in applications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies and tools to streamline application delivery and maintenance.
