Role Overview
The Real Estate Equity Analyst will join the European team to support evaluation, execution, and management of a broad range of equity investment opportunities throughout the UK and Europe. The role includes hands-on engagement in all phases of the investment process, emphasizing financial modeling, investment committee preparation, market analysis, portfolio oversight, and investor communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within a small deal team to analyze and execute equity real estate investments.
- Report and communicate findings effectively to team members spanning from Associates to Partners.
- Conduct extensive financial modeling to support investment decisions.
- Prepare materials for investment committee meetings and investor reporting.
- Maintain ongoing market research focusing on geographic regions, property categories, and sector trends.
- Contribute to transaction processes, including deal screening, due diligence, and strategic oversight on investments.
- Manage relationships and communications with counterparties, lenders, investors, lawyers, consultants, and other stakeholders involved in transactions.
Candidate Qualifications
- A university degree from a highly regarded undergraduate institution.
- Between 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, real estate private equity, or advisory roles closely related to private equity.
- Profound skills in financial analysis, valuation, and modeling.
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation abilities to succinctly convey complex information internally and externally.
- Hands-on experience evaluating real estate equity investments and transaction execution.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, along with the capability to utilize artificial intelligence tools to enhance workflow and decision-making.
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously with great attention to detail.
- Comfortable performing market and comparative analysis, as well as engaging with brokers, experts, and conducting site inspections.
- Capacity to evaluate both qualitative and quantitative aspects of properties and investment opportunities.
