Farsight is an agentic AI platform specializing in financial services, aimed at fully automating intricate workflows for investment banks and private equity firms. Currently, financial professionals spend around 80% of their time manually gathering data and producing initial drafts before refining presentations, models, and pitches. Our AI solution aims to reclaim this time and deliver novel insights that would otherwise remain undiscovered.

Our Team

Our diverse team draws experience from top financial institutions such as Evercore, General Atlantic, and Menlo Ventures, combined with advanced engineering and AI expertise from Amazon, Hugging Face, and MIT Media Lab. Having backgrounds as founders and founding engineers, the team is dedicated to building a leading startup. Our office is in Manhattan, New York City, with work arrangements including four in-person days weekly and remote work on Fridays.

Role Description

As an AI Engineer, you will be instrumental in progressing our cutting-edge AI platform. Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining autonomous systems that generate client-ready financial documents such as decks, models, and memos, managing the entire pipeline from data intake to final polished materials; developing systems to evaluate and assure quality of outputs using both deterministic checks and model-based reviews; engineering pipelines to transform proprietary and client data into evidence-based insights; enhancing retrieval systems to anchor deliverables accurately in structured and unstructured financial data; advancing agentic abilities including modular orchestration and advanced function calling; and partnering with stakeholders to prioritize development focused on client value and risk management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years deploying machine learning or large language model systems in production environments, with particular experience in building agentic systems that include function calling, orchestration, and reliability engineering for multi-step workflows. Proficiency in constructing meaningful evaluation metrics beyond simplistic scoring is essential, along with expertise in retrieval methods for diverse document formats incorporating text, numbers, and tables. Strong Python skills and familiarity with the latest AI model APIs are required.

Preferred Skills

Additional valuable qualifications include experience assessing complex client deliverables through a combination of rule-based and model-driven evaluations, capability in extracting validated patterns from large, noisy datasets with traceable evidence, and deep knowledge of financial data, documentation, and processes.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from $200,000 to $300,000 based on experience
