Role Overview

This position is ideal for someone who may not have extensive prior experience but possesses a highly organized and attentive approach to managing tasks both big and small. The role requires handling various time-sensitive communications involving museums and galleries across the US and Europe, lawyers in New York City, and virtual assistants based in Pakistan. The candidate will report directly to an experienced and prominent artist.

Key Responsibilities and Tools

• Manage correspondence and time-sensitive communication with global contacts including museums, galleries, lawyers, and remote assistants.
• Utilize Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel, for documentation and data management.
• Familiarity with Adobe Dreamweaver is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Learn and use the Artbase archive system to maintain records.
• Handle file sharing and transfer through Dropbox and external drives securely and efficiently.
• Frequent trips to the Post Office and nearby locations around the studio situated near the Clinton Washington C subway stop in Brooklyn.

This is a multinational and highly organized creative studio with extensive archives, managing a wide range of correspondence, mail, filing, mailing lists, and complex data sets across multinational tasks. The studio emphasizes an organized operational workflow and seeks a highly diligent administrative assistant to support their system.

Commitment

The role requires dedication to commit at least two full days per week, focusing on responsiveness and task completion.
