Activities Assistant / Transporter

Role Overview

Pana Community Hospital invites applications for the position of Activities Assistant / Transporter, a full-time, non-exempt role focused on delivering patient support through engaging activities and secure transport service during day shifts. This position is integral to enhancing patient wellness by providing timely transportation for appointments and facilitating internal movements within the hospital.

Compensation

The salary compensation ranges between $18.08 and $21.70 per hour, dependent on the candidate's experience level.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate and coordinate engaging and supportive activities for patients.
• Ensure safe, punctual transportation of patients to appointments, excursions, and within hospital departments.
• Assist patients with movement as required, maintaining their comfort and safety at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Completion of a high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required, or willingness to complete certification after hire.
• Experience in working with seniors or individuals with disabilities will be considered an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist patients with mobility challenges.
