About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and meticulous Accounting Manager to lead finance and accounting operations at a garment manufacturing company in Shahibaug, Ahmedabad. This role demands expertise in manufacturing-related accounting, taxation, inventory management, and compliance with statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting and financial activities to maintain accuracy.
- Maintain precise books of accounts and ensure timely financial statements.
- Manage statutory compliances including GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports reflecting financial health.
- Monitor production costing and analyze manufacturing expenses.
- Handle inventory accounting with stock reconciliation and valuation.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations diligently.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax professionals, and government bodies.
- Develop MIS reports, cash flows, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Ensure strict adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
- Lead and mentor the accounts team to enhance productivity and precision.
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost optimization initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's in Commerce (B.Com), M.Com, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification.
- Experience spanning 5 to 8 years in accounting roles.
- At least 3 years in garment/apparel manufacturing accounting is mandatory.
- In-depth understanding of GST, TDS compliance, manufacturing accounting, production costing, inventory management, and financial MIS.
- Proficiency with Tally ERP and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred knowledge of ERP systems, budgeting, and financial planning.
