About the Team
The advertising team works in a highly collaborative way and is focused on helping clients understand the evolving advertising landscape. The group supports advertisers in making strong decisions tied to their business goals while also driving advertiser interest and engagement. The Advertising Sales team is accountable for generating ad revenue and helping clients achieve their objectives.
Role Overview
This role sits at the forefront of Roku’s advertising business. The Account Executive will work with agencies and brands to demonstrate how Connected TV can be used to improve business outcomes. The main focus is to grow video and sponsorship revenue on the Roku platform in support of the Enterprise Agency Sales team.
The work calls for someone who can operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and build strong relationships. The role includes media planning, proposal development, presentations, and creating marketing materials. The right person will enjoy creating tailored solutions with partners and helping shape effective advertising programs.
Experience in video advertising, programmatic advertising, and/or sponsorship sales is required. Candidates should understand the market landscape, be able to explain Roku’s value to partners, and bring a strong approach to sales strategy, relationship mapping, and business planning. The company is looking for someone who can learn quickly, stay focused through frequent context switching, and help build something impactful.
Compensation and Benefits
For candidates in New York, the estimated annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000. Final compensation is influenced by factors such as skills, certifications, and location. This role also qualifies for incentive compensation and commissions, along with health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability coverage, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
What You Will Do
- Drive aggressive advertising revenue targets.
- Research, build, and present media plans to major advertising partners within the enterprise segment.
- Present Roku’s product offerings and close strategic business opportunities.
- Develop and manage a sales pipeline using Roku’s existing relationships, plus your own brand and agency network.
- Support campaigns through management, optimization, reporting, recap preparation, and identifying upsell opportunities.
- Handle RFP responses, work with editorial teams on sponsored custom content ideas, and contribute research for strong case studies.
- Create dependable and accurate revenue forecasts and projections.
- Work closely with cross-functional internal teams to support clients, prepare proposals, and shape strategy.
What Roku Is Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience managing a book of business as an Account Executive.
- A strong history of closing large, complex, and customized advertising deals with Fortune 500 clients and agency stakeholders.
- Solid knowledge of TV, digital, programmatic, and/or ad tech environments.
- A bachelor’s degree.
Work Style
Roku follows a hybrid work model. Teams generally work from the office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays typically open for remote work. Some roles or office locations may require five days in the office.
