Academic Counsellor

About the Role

We are looking for dedicated Academic Counsellors to assist students in choosing the right educational paths aligned with their career aspirations. The position requires engaging with potential students, managing their inquiries across various communication channels, nurturing leads, and successfully guiding them through the admission process.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise prospective students on academic programs and possible career outcomes.
• Assess student needs and recommend appropriate courses accordingly.
• Manage admission-related enquiries via phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and in-person visits.
• Consistently follow up with potential students to maintain engagement.
• Achieve monthly admission targets by converting leads into enrollments.
• Accurately maintain records and manage data within CRM systems.
• Collaborate with operations teams and partner universities throughout the admission process.
• Establish and nurture positive relationships with students and their guardians.
• Stay well-informed on current academic offerings, admission procedures, and university regulations.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in academic counselling and student engagement.
• Strong relationship-building capabilities.
• Familiarity with sales processes and admissions management.
• Proficient in lead nurturing and follow-up strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Competent in CRM software management.
• Ability to handle objections professionally.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• A genuine student-focused approach.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience in academic counselling.
• Preferably experienced in education, admissions, EdTech, or student counselling fields.
• Mandatory proficiency in Malayalam language.
• Good command of English communication is advantageous.
• Comfort with working towards and achieving admission targets.
