Overview
We are searching for a proactive YouTube Specialist to lead an important YouTube channel revamp and ongoing content enhancement initiatives. This role entails hands-on management of channel operations, content optimization, and close coordination with internal teams and external agencies to elevate the channel's impact as a content hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily YouTube channel activities including content uploads, metadata management, playlist curation, and governance adherence.
- Create and sustain a content publishing schedule to accommodate an expanding library of videos.
- Implement SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategies in titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and captions to maximize content visibility and effectiveness.
- Monitor and moderate interactions on the channel, ensuring compliance with brand standards and community guidelines.
- Perform dynamic optimization by analyzing performance data and making prompt updates to content.
- Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners on a comprehensive YouTube restructuring project.
- Improve workflow efficiency by working closely with brand teams and contractors.
- Conduct thorough audits to spot structural or metadata deficiencies and advise on enhancements.
Qualifications
- Possess 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing YouTube channels including content upload, optimization, and moderation.
- Strong knowledge of organic YouTube SEO and foundational understanding of AEO concepts.
- Familiarity with tools like TubeBuddy, VidIQ, or similar platforms.
- Highly detail-focused with the capacity to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
Additional Information
- This is a freelance contract position requiring about 40 hours per week.
- Remote work is permitted within any US timezone.
- Contract length is at least 6 months with an anticipated start in mid-July.
- Compensation range is $35 to $43 per hour, flexible based on expertise.
- The role offers exposure to confidential and proprietary information.
