Youth Worker

Role Overview

The Youth Worker position involves providing supervision and support to young people adhering to relevant legislative provisions and departmental policies. This role supports program coordination, helps young individuals comply with court mandates, and facilitates their community reintegration based on established case plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist young people in alignment with applicable laws, strategic priorities, and best practices.
• Support the Program Coordinator in maintaining youth justice intervention services.
• Guide young people to fulfill court order requirements and aid their community reintegration following case plans.
• Engage with government and community agencies to improve young people's access to necessary services.
• Document program attendance, prepare reports for case planning/reviews, and participate in relevant meetings.

Additional Requirements

Travel is part of this role, requiring a current "C" Class driver’s license. Working with children and young people mandates holding a valid Blue Card. This casual position is offered at 0.8 FTE with applications retained for 12 months.
