About the Role

Forklift Co is a family-operated business specializing in forklift and telehandler hire, sales, and maintenance based in Luscombe, Queensland. We are expanding and seeking a dependable and motivated Yard Hand to join our team for a long-term career opportunity. This role suits candidates from yard, warehouse, transport, or construction backgrounds or those eager to start fresh in a dynamic environment with full training provided.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean, detail, and prepare forklifts and telehandlers for rental and sale.
• Load and unload vehicles efficiently and safely.
• Operate forklifts to transport equipment within the yard; training will be provided if necessary.
• Perform basic pre-delivery checks and communicate any faults or maintenance needs.
• Ensure the yard remains tidy, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Support the workshop technician with general tasks.
• Handle collection and delivery of parts and equipment.
• Manage inventory and conduct routine yard duties.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a valid Australian C Class driver’s license.
• Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Enjoyment of physically active, hands-on roles.
• A positive mindset and eagerness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Unrestricted work eligibility in Australia.
• Additional forklift licensing (LF) or mechanical skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
