Job description
Overview
Join DSV, a global leader in transport and logistics, as a Warehouse Operator based in Ballycoolin, Blanchardstown, Fingal, Ireland. This full-time position involves supporting warehouse operations with a focus on customer service excellence, safety, and inventory management. Your work hours will be Monday through Friday, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to employee welfare standards, hygiene, safe handling of hazardous materials, and maintenance of cleanliness in the warehouse environment.
- Engage professionally with customers daily to exceed service expectations and foster strong working relationships.
- Understand customer requirements to proactively support operational needs and ensure compliance with their procedures.
- Investigate service issues thoroughly and apply corrective measures without delay.
- Operate both computerized inventory management systems (such as IMI/WMS) and manual stock control processes proficiently.
- Carry out essential inventory activities including picking, receiving, stock checks, and cycle counting.
- Manage the offloading and reloading processes for imports and exports efficiently.
Candidate Profile
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred.
- Dependable, well-organized, and attentive to detail.
- Effective communicator and a collaborative team player.
- Committed to delivering superior service and upholding safety standards.
- Capable of swiftly learning warehouse systems and operational protocols.
- Experienced in operating material handling equipment such as power pallet trucks and counterbalance forklifts.
