Role Overview

The Warehouse Coordinator will collaborate closely with the team supervisor to establish daily task expectations. This role involves managing labor schedules, overseeing job assignments, driving continuous improvements, and communicating effectively between office operations, warehouse staff, and management. Monitoring service performance and alerting supervisors to any issues are key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling client queries efficiently.
  • Coordinating order receipt and processing alongside the warehouse supervisor.
  • Maintaining and updating client Warehouse Management System (WMS) with order and shipping information.
  • Generating shipping labels via the WMS.
  • Preparing Bills of Lading (BOLs).
  • Coordinating with warehouse operations for container, airfreight, and truck deliveries and pickups.
  • Gathering and organizing documents such as BOLs and Delivery Orders (DOs) for inbound and outbound shipments to support client invoicing.
  • Reconciling warehouse (3PL) billing with monthly client invoices.
  • Keeping inventory records current and initiating cycle counts as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Customer interaction skills including communication with sales and service teams.
  • Familiarity with Less Than Truckload (LTL), Full Truckload (FTL), parcel carriers, and other transport methods, preferably with experience in automation tools.
  • Strong analytical capabilities paired with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.

Experience and Education

  • Minimum of six months experience working in the logistics sector.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as twisting, stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulder height, and crouching on a regular basis.
  • Competence in safely lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Work environment includes mild machinery noise and controlled climate conditions.
