About the Role

This contract opportunity is for experienced voice talent in Australia who can bring an authentic Australian accent to studio-based AI speech recording work. The recordings will support a research project focused on helping AI systems better recognize and respond to natural human speech with greater accuracy and realism.

The engagement is with Alignerr and is limited in scope, with a small number of scheduled studio sessions. The work does not include voice cloning.

What You Will Do

• Record natural Australian English speech in a professional studio setting
• Take part in both solo recordings and two-person dialogue sessions
• Produce speech that sounds genuine, conversational, and unscripted
• Adapt tone, rhythm, and delivery based on light creative direction
• Maintain energy, reliability, and consistent quality throughout multiple sessions

Who We’re Looking For

This role suits trained voice professionals who are comfortable working with natural dialogue rather than only formal scripted reads. You should be able to deliver authentic, human-sounding speech and work dependably across scheduled studio bookings.

Requirements

• Professional or semi-professional background in voice acting or voice-over work
• Natural or near-natural Australian English accent
• Current residence in Australia
• Strong spoken English communication skills
• Comfort with recording spontaneous-feeling dialogue
• Ability to attend several planned recording sessions
• Reliability, punctuality, and openness to direction

Nice to Have

• Experience in acting, theatre, or performance
• Work history in broadcasting, podcasting, or commercial voice projects
• Previous professional studio recording experience
