Position Overview
This executive leadership role within a dynamic, education-centered organization based in the United States is responsible for spearheading operational excellence and delivering scalable, impactful systems. The Vice President, Operations will drive strategic initiatives and ensure that schools have all necessary resources and support to thrive. Collaboration with senior leadership, school teams, and cross-functional departments is key to transforming organizational strategy into tangible operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement broad operational strategies that enhance service delivery, increase efficiency, and improve overall organizational effectiveness.
- Oversee various operational units including school operations support, facilities management, and business operations with alignment to strategic goals.
- Create scalable frameworks and processes to standardize operations and reduce variability across multiple sites.
- Collaborate closely with senior executives and school teams to resolve challenges and drive measurable performance improvements.
- Mentor and develop leaders across operations fostering accountability, teamwork, and continual professional advancement.
- Define performance benchmarks, monitor key metrics, and employ data-driven decision-making to optimize outcomes.
- Lead initiatives across attendance, nutrition, safety, health compliance, and risk management.
- Manage facility operations including maintenance, vendor partnerships, capital projects, and long-range asset planning.
- Enhance operational performance in schools by advancing coaching techniques, professional development, and providing robust operational tools.
- Promote cross-departmental cooperation to achieve shared organizational objectives.
- Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and operational investments ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Support cultural change and foster an environment that prioritizes service, innovation, and operational excellence.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees such as a Master's preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in public education, charter organizations, higher education, or comparable sectors.
- At least 3 years leadership experience within a school or equivalent operational environment.
- Proven ability managing large, cross-functional teams and complex organizational transformations.
- Strong leadership presence with the capability to influence executives, teams, and stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Expertise in developing and coaching high-performing teams.
- Systems-thinking mindset with proficiency in leveraging data for strategic development and outcome improvement.
- Experience overseeing compliance, audits, risk management, and operational enhancements.
- Excellent project management skills suited to fast-paced, multifaceted environments.
- Ability to navigate uncertainty, creatively solve problems, and build relationships across diverse groups.
- Deep understanding of K-12 education and school operational dynamics preferred.
- Effective communicator skilled at fostering alignment within complex organizations.
- Proficient in MS Office and Google productivity platforms.

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary ranging between $130,000 and $173,500, commensurate with experience.
- Hybrid work arrangement combining remote work, office presence, and travel to various school locations.
- Work-from-home allowance of $400 plus a monthly $100 home office stipend.
- Relocation support up to $5,000 for individuals and $7,500 for families or partners.
