About Fulfillment IQ
Fulfillment IQ is a supply chain engineering and transformation firm that partners with brands, retailers, and 3PLs to create, build, and scale efficient logistics operations. The company operates at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology, solving complex problems in warehouse design, automation, order management, transportation, and overall supply chain execution. Their teams leverage domain expertise alongside technical skills, delivering solutions via consulting, system implementation, and proprietary platforms to accelerate value delivery and mitigate risks.
Role Overview
We are seeking a mid-level UI/UX Designer to join Crossdock Studios, specializing in transforming initial product concepts into tangible solutions. This position covers the complete design process, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and developing polished user interfaces. You will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers, translating ambiguous early-stage ideas into intuitive user experiences.
This role requires versatility, adapting across research, interaction design, visual design, and design system maintenance as product needs evolve. Candidates who enjoy crafting products from the ground up and thrive in dynamic situations will find this role rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user interviews to gather insights and translate findings into actionable design strategies.
- Develop user journeys and flows, create wireframes and prototypes, and refine designs based on feedback and usability assessment.
- Create high-fidelity, accessible, and brand-consistent UI mockups.
- Maintain and contribute to a shared design system and component library to ensure consistency across platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through implementation and quality assurance.
- Develop interactive prototypes to validate design concepts before development.
- Communicate design choices clearly to stakeholders and incorporate feedback from technical and non-technical team members.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design for digital products, including web and/or mobile platforms.
- A robust portfolio demonstrating full-cycle design work from research to finished UI.
- Expertise with modern design tools such as Figma and proficiency in prototyping software.
- Strong understanding of usability principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design techniques.
- Experience designing for complex, data-intensive, or workflow-oriented applications is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous conditions, managing both early-stage product discoveries and feature refinements.
- Excellent communication skills with the capability to champion user needs while balancing business objectives and technical feasibility.
- Experience sustaining or contributing to a design system is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Use of AI tools to enhance design workflows, accelerate iterations, or improve design system management.
- Knowledge of enterprise authentication or data architecture from the design perspective, including multi-tenant solutions.
- Familiarity with B2B or vertical SaaS product design.
Success Milestones (First 90 Days)
- Within 30 days: Understand Crossdock's product portfolio, design system, and component libraries; complete an initial scoped design task.
- Within 60 days: Independently manage a feature's design end-to-end; start contributing to the design system; build strong engineering partnerships.
- Within 90 days: Lead design for a product area or workstream with minimal supervision; balance multiple design demands; deliver consistent high-quality outputs.
Performance Metrics
- Volume of features or flows progressed from conception to production per quarter.
- Contributions to the shared design system components.
- Efficiency of design-to-development handoff measured by cycle times and reduction in rework.
- Stakeholder feedback on clarity, usability, and collaboration in design processes.
- Quality of usability outcomes based on testing and post-launch feedback.
