About the Role

The Network Operations Center (NOC) acts as the central command hub for 'Transportation Execution' across Amazon's supply chain, supporting regions including North America, India, and Europe. NOC ensures timely and smooth pick-ups and deliveries of freight between vendors, fulfillment centers, and carrier hubs. It addresses any exceptions by resolving issues and keeping stakeholders informed. Additionally, the NOC analyzes network trends to propose process automations and improvements to enhance operations. This function is vital in maintaining Amazon's ability to serve customers punctually.

This position is part of the Central Operations team within NOC, which manages route planning, scheduling, and payment processes for last-mile stations across LATAM and AMET regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with business and operations teams to resolve customer escalations and analyze historical outcomes.
  • Design and drive enhancements for visibility tools and operational methods to provide actionable data to internal and external partners.
  • Take full ownership of customer issues, proactively developing SOPs and driving process changes as needed.
  • Maintain strong communication channels with internal customers including Customer Service, Market Management, Last Mile, Fulfillment Centers, Transportation Programs, and HR.
  • Exercise exceptional verbal and written communication skills, presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail and minimal supervision.
  • Leverage analytical and mediation skills to resolve problems effectively.
  • Demonstrate leadership with initiative, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
  • Engage collaboratively with remote and local management teams through formal and informal communication.
  • Apply process improvement techniques to streamline operations.
  • Understand and meet daily production and execution goals.
  • Periodically review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), assist with their execution, train associates, and ensure compliance.
  • Handle incoming work requests adhering to standard SLAs and provide direction using independent judgment.
  • Conduct regular audits with associates to monitor engagement and adherence to standard work protocols.
  • Support shift execution alongside shift managers.
  • Work flexible hours including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Experience with SQL is preferred.
