Position Overview

This full-time onsite Transportation Operations Manager role is part of our Global Transportation Team in Hyderabad, India. We seek a highly driven individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, exercises excellent multitasking and prioritization skills, and delivers superior customer service. You will oversee daily transportation processes and project activities, adapting to changing priorities and collaborating with vendors, warehouses, carriers, and clients.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate transportation-related projects and execute project plans to enhance processes.
• Liaise closely with vendor and project managers to ensure project alignment and success.
• Maintain and update SOPs, SWIs, and procedures to accurately reflect client requirements for carriers.
• Collaborate with warehouses, carriers, and service providers to resolve operational challenges swiftly.
• Partner with the Command Center to identify and address carrier-related issues.
• Drive operational consistency and performance predictability among partners.
• Analyze transportation data to uncover and implement process improvements.
• Handle ongoing delivery challenges and negotiate resolutions.
• Develop task lists, work plans, and key milestones critical for project delivery.
• Prepare and present performance reports to vendors and clients.
• Proactively pursue cost savings, consolidation, and on-time delivery initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Supply Chain, Transportation, or Logistics; or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in transportation and logistics plus at least one year in warehousing.
• Proven leadership in project management and continuous improvement initiatives spanning at least two years.
• Familiarity with multi-modal transport, including air, road, sea, and specialized cargo handling.
• Experience in people management including hiring, development, and performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills, including comfort leading meetings with stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively for self and team.
• Proactive problem-solving to anticipate and mitigate operational issues.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, adaptable to dynamic work environments.
• Quick learner of software applications and technological tools especially G Suite or equivalents.
• Highly motivated and results-oriented mindset.

Additional Skills

• Background in warehousing and transportation operations.
• Strong communication skills with experience in import and export.
• Detail-oriented with an IATA certification viewed favorably.
• Proficiency with G Suite or comparable platforms.
