Role Overview

The Transcon Supervisor supports the Transcon Manager to ensure efficient department operations, encompassing operations, finance, sales, personnel, systems, and culture adherence aligned with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous compliance with internal policies, government regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Analyze and improve department operational workflows to increase efficiency.
  • Guarantee all customer SOPs are met in accordance with the department's DLSOP.
  • Utilize various system reports daily, weekly, or monthly to supervise operations effectively, including status exception, transit logs, consolidation, shipment summary, route activity, and aged warehouse reports.
  • Assist in building and maintaining vendor relations aiming to be their lowest cost customer and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Support financial operations by attending regular meetings with the manager and ensuring accounts payables and credit procedures are managed efficiently.
  • Collaborate with sales by offering pricing, routing, and technical advice; respond promptly to proposals and quotations; participate in new business transitions and customer retention activities.
  • Mentor and develop team members, including identifying successors and managing workload distribution during peak times or absences.
  • Ensure employees complete mandatory and ongoing training, conduct annual appraisals, and maintain clear job descriptions and development plans.
  • Promote effective weekly team meetings and regularly review department goals to maintain accountability.
  • Maximize use of systems tools such as edoc, export databases, and reports; participate in system enhancements and process improvements.

Qualifications
