Job description
Overview
Al-Enjaz Company is looking for a qualified Traffic & Safety Engineer with at least two years of professional experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, supervising, and implementing Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and ensuring adherence to safety protocols on site. This role requires maintaining traffic fluidity, reducing risks, and aligning all efforts with Saudi traffic laws and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, assess, and apply traffic detour schemes, along with appropriate signage, barriers, and temporary traffic control devices tailored for operational sites.
- Lead scheduled inspections to maintain strict adherence to traffic safety norms while addressing potential hazards for employees and the general public.
- Coordinate effectively with governmental bodies such as the Ministry of Transport, Municipality officials, and Traffic Police to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Conduct comprehensive traffic risk evaluations and develop measures to mitigate identified risks ensuring site safety.
- Supervise and coach traffic controllers and related site staff on correct and safe traffic management practices.
Candidate Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Have a minimum of two years' professional experience in traffic engineering or infrastructure-related projects.
- Hold an active registration status with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
- Demonstrate competency in using AutoCAD software for designing traffic detour layouts and possess thorough knowledge of local traffic laws and safety standards.
- Be proficient in both English and Arabic languages.
