Role Overview
The Trade Documentation Officer is responsible for managing all tasks related to trade paper documentation, including receiving, coordinating, scanning, indexing, and follow-ups. This role ensures smooth trade transaction processing and supports both internal and external customers while adhering to strict compliance, non-financial risk, sanctions, credit, and operational policies. The position is based in Perth, Western Australia, requiring the processing of both hard and soft copy trade documents in line with stipulated turnaround times and bank standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage trade documentation processes ensuring alignment with customer delivery expectations.
- Perform activities such as document splitting, scanning, and indexing into Trade 360.
- Provide necessary information to facilitate document processing.
- Monitor transactions to comply with standard and customer-specific service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure completeness and correct attachment of all documents to related requests.
- Print and execute guarantees following documented procedures.
- Coordinate guarantee swaps as required.
- Manage the use of external couriers for trade document delivery effectively.
- Adhere to bank policies, including trade sanctions and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy in all paper documentation activities.
- Maintain effective queue management in Trade 360 and facilitate accurate transaction handling between Spoke and Hub.
Candidate Profile
- Strong organizational capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good time management and prioritization abilities.
- Capability to perform well under tight deadlines to meet customer needs.
- Customer service skills with the ability to interpret customer requests and document requirements.
- Basic knowledge of trade and supply chain products is preferred but not mandatory.
