Job Purpose
This role focuses on supporting the maintenance, reliability, and availability of telecommunications systems within offshore oil and gas operations, ensuring that maintenance tasks are executed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update maintenance plans and procedures for telecom systems.
- Handle management of telecom assets, spare parts inventory, and related logistics.
- Provide engineering, design, and installation assistance for telecom equipment.
- Support the integration of new operational maintenance services.
- Review and revise technical drawings and layout plans for equipment setup.
- Coordinate requirements concerning space allocation, power supply, cable routing, and equipment positioning.
- Participate in risk assessments and support ongoing process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to company safety protocols and operational standards.
Requirements
- Higher Secondary School education supplemented by a 3-year Technical Diploma or equivalent (HNC, HND, or similar).
- At least 10 years of professional experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical environments.
- A minimum of 5 years supporting offshore telecom maintenance.
- In-depth familiarity with telecom systems, maintenance planning, and installation procedures.
- Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to perform effectively independently and within culturally diverse teams.
