Role Overview
This contract position based in Dublin offers an exciting chance to contribute immediately to a key digital transformation program that delivers important public-facing services. The role involves acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the software delivery process, ensuring clear communication and thorough documentation of requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, document, and confirm both business and technical requirements.
- Lead workshops, conduct stakeholder interviews, and refine requirements collaboratively.
- Create and update comprehensive User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and relevant documentation within Azure DevOps.
- Serve as the primary intermediary between business teams and technical delivery staff.
- Collaborate closely with developers, testers, project managers, and system integration teams during the software development lifecycle.
- Coordinate and provide support for System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Manage and track defects until resolution using Azure DevOps tools.
- Produce detailed business process documents, process mappings, use cases, and user journey depictions.
- Assist with application demonstrations, secure business approvals, facilitate deployments, and transfer knowledge.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in a software delivery setting.
- Proven capability in gathering, documenting, and managing complex business and technical requirements.
- Demonstrated skill in authoring User Stories and precise, testable Acceptance Criteria.
- Practical experience with Azure DevOps for backlog, requirement, task, and defect management.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience supporting or organizing SIT and UAT phases.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic delivery environment.
- Desirable experience includes digital transformation projects, familiarity with Microsoft technologies, or exposure to public sector initiatives.
