Job Purpose

The role involves overseeing quality and performance of civil and mechanical site works in solar and wind projects, ensuring adherence to quality assurance, conducting inspections, collaborating with contractors and management, enforcing safety protocols, and contributing to workforce training and process optimization to maintain quality standards and achieve zero non-conformities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage storage infrastructure, manpower, and tools for safe and efficient material handling onsite following SOP compliance.
  • Ensure process adherence for material receipt posting, stock audits, timely closure of Returnable Gate Passes, and preparation of Goods Receipt Notes within defined SLAs.
  • Oversee inventory control including monitoring slow-moving and surplus stock, implementing optimization techniques (VED/FAS/Min-Max/ABC), and coordinating disposal of scrap and surplus materials with proper approvals.
  • Lead project store management functions with zero deviation from SOPs, establishing adequate infrastructure, manpower planning, team leadership, training, and policy compliance.
  • Coordinate with Head Office and regional teams through MIS reporting, presentations, and inventory reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvements integrating digital inventory management tools, enforce ESG norms in storage and waste disposal, and ensure compliance with hazardous material handling and regulatory audits.
  • Ensure driver compliance with safety inductions, valid licenses, and proper unloading protocols.

Additional Information

  • Prepare monthly project reports, materials invoice processing, and maintain timely issuance and receipt documentation.
  • Conduct regular site store visits and functional reviews to ensure adherence and timely resolution of compliance gaps.
  • Coordinate smoothly with internal and external audits, ensuring audit findings are addressed within stipulated timeframes with corrective actions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational background includes BA, MBA, or Diploma in Material Management or Supply Chain Management.
  • Over 17 years of professional experience managing materials and inventory in the renewable energy sector, specifically solar.
