Role Summary

As a full-time, on-site tailor at Yousaf Tailors, the candidate will be responsible for measuring clients accurately, conducting garment fittings, and creating or adjusting clothing items to meet client specifications and quality standards. This role requires interpreting design details, selecting suitable fabrics and materials, and carefully operating sewing and pressing machines. The tailor will engage with customers to understand their needs, offer expert advice, and ensure orders are completed promptly. Additional duties include maintaining an organized and clean workspace, managing work orders, and cooperating with the team to facilitate smooth daily operations within the shop.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in tailoring and dressmaking, including garment construction and alteration techniques.
• Strong fitting capabilities involving precise measuring, pinning, and adjustments for optimal comfort and accuracy.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills to professionally engage clients and comprehend their requirements.
• Experience using sewing machines, cutting tools, and pressing equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to interpret patterns, design instructions, and work orders with great attention to detail.
