About Us

The Enabling Services group plays a vital role by delivering strategic and operational support, including IT services, financial management, governance, and organizational strategy.

About the Role

We invite applications for a Systems Engineer position within the Enabling Services team on a permanent basis. The role involves managing, maintaining, and advancing our platforms, both virtual and public cloud, to support various government agencies in achieving their strategic goals.

Key technical responsibilities include working with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Veeam, and virtualization platforms. You will oversee server, storage, and virtual infrastructure and engage in identity and access management, Group Policy configuration, and PowerShell scripting automation. Additional duties span network management and contributing to cloud, security, and modern workplace initiatives.

The role also offers prospects for involvement in disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and information security efforts.

Candidate Profile

Successful candidates will possess strong technical troubleshooting and analytical capabilities alongside excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A background in computer science or ICT, supported by industry-recognized certifications or equivalent experience, is ideal. Eligibility to obtain New Zealand Government security clearance is required.
