Systems Administrator

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to oversee and maintain the enterprise infrastructure for FDOT. This role involves managing on-premises servers, cloud services, and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support the enterprise infrastructure, including Windows servers across versions from 2012 R2 through 2022, as well as cloud platforms and Microsoft 365 services.
• Coordinate server configurations collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors to meet operational needs.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues affecting servers, networks, and applications to maintain system reliability.
• Administer cloud environments primarily on AWS and Microsoft Azure, with preferred experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Oversee Azure DevOps projects including managing Git repositories and CI/CD pipeline implementations.
• Support initiatives related to identity and access management, networking infrastructure, and cybersecurity measures.
• Recommend and execute upgrades or improvements to servers, software, and infrastructure to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Provide support to maintain infrastructure scalability, performance, and cost-effective operation.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and aid developers with application hosting requirements.
• Leverage automation tools to streamline administrative processes and drive infrastructure modernization.
• Document technical configurations and generate regular reports to maintain transparency and knowledge base.
• Apply strong analytical and troubleshooting skills consistently to resolve issues.
• Keep informed about the latest technology trends and propose innovative solutions to improve systems.
• Perform any additional system administration tasks as assigned to support organizational goals.
