Position Overview

This position is offered by Eastern Harvest Foods (Singapore) Pte Ltd with coordination support from the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) under the JSIT WST program. The SBF/JSIT initiative facilitates networking and outreach but does not operate as an employer; all recruitment decisions are made by the hiring company.

We are seeking an organized and driven Supply Chain Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating and executing procurement strategies by sourcing and managing suppliers, handling the complete purchasing process and inventory management, negotiating favorable contracts, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role ensures steady supply, cost efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate procurement strategies aligned with sales projections and corporate growth plans.
• Identify and evaluate potential local and global suppliers to secure competitive prices and reliable supply chains.
• Negotiate pricing, payment conditions, rebates, and contracts to maximize cost savings and enhance profit margins.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent supply stability.
• Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews focusing on pricing, quality, timeliness, and compliance.
• Oversee full procurement cycles from purchase requests through shipment coordination.
• Plan purchase quantities considering demand forecasts, seasonal demand shifts, and promotional campaigns.
• Monitor market trends, commodity price variations, and currency fluctuations to guide procurement decisions.
• Ensure timely replenishment to prevent shortages while minimizing excess inventory and expiration risks.
• Maintain ideal inventory levels that promote effective stock turnover.
• Analyze purchasing data to spot opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvements.
• Track and report key procurement metrics such as cost savings, supplier dependability, lead times, and inventory aging.
• Supervise product specifications, cost structures, and packaging standards to guarantee quality and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or closely related discipline.
• Proven experience in procurement, preferably within food trading, FMCG, or similar sectors.
• Strong capabilities in international sourcing and supplier negotiation.
• Analytical and problem-solving talents demonstrated through past challenges.
• Leadership experience managing procurement teams is a benefit.
• Competence with Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems is essential.
