Supplier Quality Professional

Overview

Join Lonza's Global Capability Center in Hyderabad as a Supplier Quality Professional. This role involves stewardship of global supplier quality processes to ensure that vendor-related activities such as change notifications, quality agreements, complaints, and supply chain integrity are managed efficiently and compliantly. You will work with stakeholders worldwide to uphold regulatory and quality standards, enabling operational excellence across the company.

Responsibilities

• Oversee entire supplier quality workflows including Vendor Change Notifications, Supplier Quality Agreements, supplier complaints, and supply chain integrity activities ensuring they are executed timely and comply with standards.
• Evaluate supplier quality documentation to support qualification of materials, services, and equipment throughout the Lonza network.
• Use analytical and technical skills to assess supplier requests, identify associated risks, and decide on actions to guarantee compliance and maintain supply continuity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as MSAT, QC, Manufacturing, Planning, and Procurement to conduct impact analyses and manage risk mitigation measures effectively.
• Ensure supplier-related documentation and data are accurately maintained with integrity in systems including SAP, TrackWise, and other document management platforms.
• Track supplier quality performance metrics, coordinate audits and inspections, and lead initiatives to improve global supplier quality processes.
• Act as the primary contact for supplier quality matters by providing direction, ensuring communication among stakeholders, and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• University degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Biotechnology or related scientific field.
• Between 5 to 10 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Supplier Qualification in regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sectors.
• Thorough understanding of cGMP, FDA regulations and supplier quality protocols pertaining to vendor change notifications, quality agreements, complaints, and qualification processes.
• Proven experience using enterprise quality software such as SAP, TrackWise, and Document Management Systems.
• Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities with skills to interpret complex supplier data and make risk-based decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities with experience working across global and cross-functional teams.
• Business-fluent English proficiency and capacity to work independently in a dynamic international environment.
