Role Overview
The Strategy & Operations Manager will join the Business Operations team, working closely with the Head of Finance and cross-functional leaders across Sales, Product, and Engineering. This role focuses on managing financial planning and forecasting, leading strategic high-impact analyses including pricing strategies, go-to-market ROI evaluations, and new product launches. Additionally, the position supports the operational framework of our embedded finance platform and will gain exposure to corporate development projects and investor relations. This position reports directly to the Head of Finance.
Responsibilities and Growth Path
- Lead and refine financial forecasting processes encompassing revenue, expenses, and cash flow with increasing autonomy.
- Conduct strategic analyses with actionable insights on enterprise pricing, product launches, and market opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams as a trusted operational partner.
- Own process improvements and automation in financial planning and reporting.
- Engage in corporate development activities including mergers, acquisitions, and investment diligence.
- Build and maintain materials for board and investor communications.
Milestones:
- First Month: Acquire proficiency in financial models, key systems (Looker, Salesforce, Stripe), and begin understanding the embedded financing product.
- Within Three Months: Take ownership of forecasting components and complete initial strategic projects.
- Within Six Months: Manage end-to-end forecasting processes and lead strategic initiatives independently.
- Within Twelve Months: Serve as a primary source for financial forecasting and strategy, identify process enhancements, and contribute to corporate development.
Candidate Profile
- 5-7 years of relevant experience, including 2-3 years in high-growth SaaS or technology startups, preceded by a foundation in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting.
- Exceptional financial modeling capabilities, encompassing building and refining forecasts from scratch.
- Strong data analysis aptitude, comfortable extracting and manipulating data through Excel, Sheets, SQL, or BI tools such as Looker.
- Proactively engages with AI tools to augment workflows without external prompting.
- Ability to distill open-ended business questions into structured analyses with clear recommendations.
- Communicates with conviction, providing interpretation and actionable advice beyond presenting data.
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders in Sales, Product, and Engineering.
- Thrives in ambiguous environments, creating new processes and frameworks as needed.
- Demonstrates initiative and ownership by taking responsibility for unassigned tasks.
