About the Role

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is seeking an experienced Strategy Consultant to join a pivotal initiative on a 12-month freelance contract basis. DCT Abu Dhabi serves as the government body advancing the sustainable development of Abu Dhabi's culture and tourism industries, aiming to establish the emirate as a global center of culture, creativity, and tourism.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Gaming Strategy Team in driving strategic planning, performance management, governance, and initiative tracking across departments.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership and internal teams to facilitate planning cycles and produce executive-level documents, including briefing materials and dashboards.
• Track achievement against strategic goals and identify risks or delays for timely escalation.
• Coordinate inputs from multiple internal stakeholders to maintain alignment across workstreams.
• Manage performance measurement by collecting, consolidating, and validating organizational performance data, preparing periodic reports, and supporting governance forums.
• Provide operational assistance to governance bodies by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, supporting decision-making processes, and ensuring follow-through on action items.
• Coordinate strategic initiatives and projects: maintain trackers, project plans, and status reports; engage with project owners and stakeholders; and escalate risks and blockers as needed.
• Support the creation of business cases and initiative charters when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 4 to 6 years' experience in top-tier management or strategy consulting, preferably at senior consultant or manager level.
• Background with leading strategy firms such as MBB or equivalent is essential.
• Proven expertise in strategic planning, performance management, governance, and transformational programs.
• Strong skills in preparing executive-level presentations, reports, dashboards, and decision papers.
• Analytical proficiency and experience working with KPI and performance data.
• Competence in stakeholder coordination and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Preferred experience includes exposure to the gaming or esports industry, familiarity with AI tools applied to strategy and operational reporting, and GCC regional experience (3–5 years). Track record of internal promotions in consulting firms is desirable.

Contract Information

• This is a 12-month contract position based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
