Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Stores Supervisor to lead our stores operations based at our modern headquarters in NETPark, Sedgefield, County Durham TS21 3FR. Primary Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and develop the stores team to achieve daily and strategic goals.
- Assign workloads and ensure timely completion of daily priorities.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within stores operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators and identify areas for performance enhancement.
- Maintain precise stock records within the ERP system.
- Conduct cycle counts and resolve any stock discrepancies.
- Supervise the receipt, storage, kitting, and dispatch of goods.
- Coordinate both domestic and international shipments efficiently.
- Facilitate export documentation and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to meet production needs.
- Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have prior experience overseeing a warehouse or stores team and a passion for leading teams to operational excellence. Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments is advantageous.
Essential Requirements
- Proven background supervising warehouse or stores personnel.
- Strong expertise in stock control and inventory management.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
- Robust communication and team leadership skills.
- A proactive mindset toward continuous improvement efforts.
- Good knowledge and positive approach to warehouse health and safety protocols.
- Eligibility to undergo UK Government Security Clearance vetting.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience handling international shipments.
- Familiarity with customs procedures and export documentation.
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, or similarly regulated sectors.
