Storekeeper

Role overview

This position is responsible for managing the flow of materials and supplies within the hotel, including receipt, storage, tracking, and issuance. The role also supports inventory control, purchasing follow-up, and upkeep of records and supplier references.

Key duties

• Accept, store, record, and release materials and supplies as required.
• Check incoming deliveries to confirm they match the expected quantity and quality standards.
• Release materials and supplies only against approved requisitions.
• Maintain accurate logs of items received and issued.
• Raise purchase requests when stock needs replenishment.
• Complete a monthly stock count and reconcile it with stock card balances.
• Keep special project materials stored separately.
• Maintain spare parts manuals, catalogues, and supplier lists.
• Prepare a weekly itemized expense summary for the Purchasing Manager.
• Handle all material and supply needs across the hotel premises, including additions, extensions, or other hotel properties.
• Ensure uniforms are clean and in good condition, and maintain a neat appearance before entering guest areas or public spaces.
• Follow safety rules and help keep the workplace safe for self and others.
• Carry out other related tasks and special assignments as needed.
