About the Role

Join CVS Health in shaping a connected and compassionate health care experience as a Store Manager In Training (SMIT). This developmental position is carefully designed to prepare individuals for leadership as a CVS Store Manager through a comprehensive 16-week training program combining virtual and hands-on learning. You will be supported by a team including District Leaders, Human Resources Business Partners, Training Store Managers, and Store Manager coaches to advance your leadership career.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to lead and support your team.
• Deliver excellent customer service by performing customer care duties.
• Implement merchandising strategies aimed at driving store sales growth.
• Oversee inventory and assets to sustain store profitability.
• Participate actively in Key Learning Experiences alongside your leader to facilitate career advancement during the program.
• Serve as a key member of the store's management team, upholding CVS values and policies.
• Motivate colleagues to embody the company’s mission of promoting better health.
• Accept promotions within your market and display flexibility to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores as needed.
• Adapt to variable work schedules reflecting business demands.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience in retail management or prior role as a CVS Supervisor is advantageous.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Commitment to career development and growth within the CVS leadership structure.
• Willingness to relocate within the designated market to accept promotion opportunities.

Additional Information

While selection as a SMIT is a significant step toward store management, promotion is contingent on multiple factors including performance and availability of openings.

This position expects approximately 45 hours of work weekly.

Compensation and Benefits

The base hourly pay range is $18.50 to $23.88, influenced by experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant criteria.
