Role Summary

Reporting within the Operations Division, this role involves supervising and coordinating stock control operations for the Lubricants division. The position entails managing inventory accuracy, ensuring optimal stock availability, and enhancing supply chain efficiency. Collaborating with Operations, Finance, and Sales teams, the stock controller plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting customer demands, and fostering supplier relations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee daily stock control operations for the lubricants portfolio.
• Continuously monitor inventory levels to ensure products are replenished timely and service standards are met.
• Analyze stock movements and forecast demand to optimize inventory holdings.
• Perform stock reconciliations and investigate discrepancies promptly.
• Manage creation and processing of purchase orders and goods received notes (GRNs) for inbound stock.
• Coordinate with transport providers to schedule product deliveries.
• Organize outbound delivery routes efficiently.
• Maintain key performance indicators tracking stock performance, retention, and service metrics.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and initiate measures to mitigate excess holding.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and finance regarding orders, deliveries, and stock irregularities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and operational policies.
• Provide guidance and training to team members as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Desirable: minimum 2 years’ experience in stock control, inventory management, warehouse, or supply chain operations; alternative relevant experience considered.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with stock management systems or ERP platforms.
• Industry experience in lubricants, fuels, logistics, or distribution is advantageous.
• Educational qualification such as a bachelor's degree or equivalent is beneficial.
