STEM Researcher

Role Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a full-time STEM Researcher position working remotely from any location. This role involves tackling complex STEM challenges designed to test the boundaries of large language models (LLMs), creating detailed, clear, stepwise solutions backed by well reasoned explanations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Devise and resolve demanding STEM problems aimed at assessing large language models’ limitations.
• Develop high-quality, step-by-step solution guides with articulated reasoning.
• Collaborate closely with LLM research teams to ensure alignment of problem design with evaluation objectives, focusing on abstraction, multi-step reasoning, and symbolic manipulations.
• Contribute to defining innovative evaluation benchmarks drawn from physics curricula spanning early undergraduate to doctoral levels.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance analytical capabilities and ensure career resilience in a technology-driven landscape.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong analytical foundation in STEM fields, comparable to engineering entrance or graduate/PhD academic levels.
• Proficiency in simplifying complex scientific and mathematical concepts into accessible, clear explanations.
• Ability to think creatively and approach problems laterally to develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills suited for structured, remote collaboration.
• Self-driven with the capacity to work autonomously, equipped with a reliable computer and internet connection.
