About Shadeform
Shadeform is a startup supported by Y Combinator that operates a GPU cloud marketplace. The platform aggregates computing capacity from more than 30 cloud and bare-metal providers and facilitates large-scale GPU infrastructure agreements between these suppliers and AI or enterprise clients. Shadeform emphasizes agility with asset-light operations and focuses on providing commercial infrastructure that harmonizes supply and demand in the AI compute market.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Sourcing Manager or Sourcing Associate to spearhead the supplier side of the marketplace. This role involves identifying, evaluating, and onboarding GPU cloud and data center providers, as well as nurturing ongoing relationships to ensure a stable flow of high-quality capacity into the platform. The position requires strong commercial acumen and the ability to discuss technical hardware, power, and deployment details credibly with providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new GPU cloud and bare-metal providers to build a robust pipeline of capacity spanning various geographic regions and hardware generations.
- Manage provider relationships end-to-end, from initial outreach and onboarding to listing and continuous account management.
- Lead negotiations on commercial terms and capacity commitments, collaborating closely with the Head of Cloud Infrastructure and deal team on deal structuring.
- Maintain precise supply and provider information in HubSpot, including records of capacity, pricing, and availability.
- Monitor market trends such as pricing fluctuations, hardware innovations, and provider capabilities, reporting relevant insights to the internal team.
- Work collaboratively with sales and operations teams to align sourced capacity with active customer demand.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a practical understanding of the AI infrastructure sector, including GPU compute technologies and data center considerations such as power, cooling, colocation, and deployment challenges.
- Demonstrate experience in sourcing, partnerships, business development, or supply-side account management, preferably within cloud, computing, or infrastructure domains.
- Comfortable using HubSpot or similar CRM platforms for managing pipelines and relationships; exhibit strong commercial insight with the capacity to handle negotiations and provider engagements independently.
- Preferably come with an existing network of GPU or data center providers to leverage immediately.
- Communicate directly and effectively, with a strong inclination towards proactive execution.
The decision between hiring a Manager or Associate will depend on candidates' depth of industry expertise, existing relationships with providers, and their ability to independently oversee negotiations and manage relationships.
Compensation Details
The role offers a competitive base salary supplemented by an uncapped variable pay component directly linked to the volume of sourced and onboarded capacity. High performers have the potential to earn substantially more as their sourced capacity grows.
Working Environment
Shadeform boasts a lean team environment granting substantial individual ownership and autonomy. While the pace is rapid, emphasis is placed on building sustainable processes and maintaining quality standards. The role suits individuals who thrive on navigating ambiguity and enjoy developing solutions in settings with minimal pre-existing procedures.
The company values clear analytical thinking, effective execution, and collaboration with colleagues who elevate team performance.
Equal Opportunity Statement
Shadeform is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all candidates.
