About StackAdapt and the Stats & Analytics Team

The Stats & Analytics team addresses sophisticated distributed system challenges with a focus on scalability, reliability, performance, and data consistency. They utilize a modern technology stack including Golang, TiDB, Redshift, Snowflake, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and HDFS. The team is organized into three subgroups: Data Ingestion, Data Platform, and Data Delivery. StackAdapt operates as a Remote First company and welcomes candidates based anywhere in Canada for this role.
Data Delivery Team Focus
This subgroup transforms core data into actionable insights and products consumed by customers. Responsibilities include developing pipelines, services, and APIs that support reporting, billing, pacing, and analytics across the platform. Collaboration with Product and Web teams ensures the data is accurate, accessible, and useful for both advertisers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, distributed real-time microservices primarily using Go.
- Work with large datasets and diverse databases such as Aerospike, Elasticsearch, Redis, ScyllaDB, Redshift, TiDB, and MariaDB.
- Utilize data lakehouse technologies like Apache Iceberg and Apache Trino and real-time analytics platforms including StarRocks and Clickhouse.
- Develop applications that integrate with messaging queues such as Kafka, SQS, and Kinesis.
- Write code optimized for both performance and memory efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a Backend Software Engineer.
- Strong analytical abilities with expertise in data structures, algorithms, and optimization techniques.
- Experience in handling relational databases and/or key-value store database systems.
- Proven skills in building scalable microservices and distributed systems.
