Role Overview

This contract opportunity is for a Social Media Manager with a strong interest in sports. The position is based in Central London and requires on-site attendance three days each week. It is a full-time assignment expected to begin as soon as possible and run for three months. The successful candidate must be registered as an independent contractor.

What You'll Be Doing

You will take the lead on social media strategy, planning, and delivery for a varied portfolio of brands across sports, entertainment, and consumer categories. The role is suited to someone who is highly strategic and idea-led, with the ability to turn fast-moving cultural moments into high-impact branded content.

While the main emphasis is on concept development, planning, and insight-led decision-making, you should also be comfortable producing content directly when needed, especially when a reactive opportunity calls for quick execution.

Key Focus Areas

• Build and manage content calendars, platform rollout plans, and longer-term social strategy.
• Track live trends across TikTok, Instagram, and X to spot timely opportunities, with a particular focus on sport-related moments.
• Use analytics to understand audience response and identify what content performs best.
• Handle several projects and client demands at the same time with confidence.
• Contribute ideas within a creative team and maintain a strong eye for visual quality.
• When needed, write scripts, shoot content, and edit simple social-first assets quickly for reactive posts.

Preferred Background

Experience in an agency environment supporting entertainment, sports, or consumer brands would be an advantage. Strong scriptwriting ability for social-first content is also desirable.

Additional Information

This role is classified as a contract position. The assignment duration is three months, and the start date is ASAP. The commitment is full-time. The work arrangement is on-site in Central London for three days per week.
